APA stands for American Psychological Association, the professional guild who first developed the guidelines of the style. APA is a style of formatting academic papers that is used mostly in the social sciences.

The Reference List provides the reader with the names of the sources used in your research, giving credit to the people and organizations who made the research possible.

APA In-Text Citations
APA style uses in-text citations to show where individual pieces of information come from. APA in-text citations include the author’s last name, the page number where the information came from, and the year that the work was published.
